Description
Deviled eggs are a classic appetizer made by hard boiling eggs, removing the yolks, and mixing them with mayonnaise and spices.

- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Paprika for garnish
Instructions
- Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot and covering with water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.
- Cool the eggs in an ice bath for 5 minutes, then peel them.
- Cut the eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks.
- In a bowl, mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
- Sprinkle with paprika before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh eggs for easier peeling.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
