Description
A healthy and protein-packed black bean burger suitable for the Daniel Fast.
Ingredients

- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, mash black beans until mostly smooth.
- Add breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Form mixture into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 5-6 minutes on each side until browned.
- Serve on lettuce leaves or whole grain buns.

- This recipe is vegan and gluten-free if using gluten-free breadcrumbs.
