Description

A cob loaf is a hollowed-out round loaf of bread filled with a creamy dip.


Ingredients

  • 1 round cob loaf
  • 250g cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cut the top off the cob loaf and hollow out the inside.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, grated cheese, green onions, bacon bits, and garlic powder.
  4. Fill the hollowed-out loaf with the mixture.
  5. Place the lid back on the loaf and wrap it in aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Serve warm with the bread pieces for dipping.

Notes

  • Substitute bacon with chopped vegetables for a vegetarian option.
