Description

Cinnamon buns are sweet, soft rolls filled with cinnamon and sugar, topped with cream cheese icing.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, warm the milk and dissolve yeast in it.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add melted butter and eggs to the flour mixture.
  4. Combine with the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough and spread butter, sugar, and cinnamon on top.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  8. Place slices in a greased pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
  10. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla for icing.
  11. Spread icing over warm buns.
