Description
Cinnamon buns are sweet, soft rolls filled with cinnamon and sugar, topped with cream cheese icing.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small bowl, warm the milk and dissolve yeast in it.
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add melted butter and eggs to the flour mixture.
- Combine with the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and spread butter, sugar, and cinnamon on top.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place slices in a greased pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla for icing.
- Spread icing over warm buns.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Reheat in the microwave before serving.
- You can add nuts or raisins for extra flavor.
