- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup dried cherries, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Additional powdered sugar for coating
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream the butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add flour, salt, and chopped pecans. Mix until combined.
- Fold in the dried cherries.
- Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Let cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Cherries can be substituted with other dried fruits.
- For a nuttier flavor, toast the pecans before adding.
