Description
A classic Swiss dish made by melting cheese and served with bread for dipping.
Ingredients

- 200g Gruyère cheese
- 200g Emmental cheese
- 1 clove garlic
- 300ml dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Crusty bread, cut into cubes
Instructions
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic.
- Pour in the white wine and lemon juice.
- Heat the mixture until it simmers.
- Gradually add the grated cheese, stirring constantly.
- Mix the cornstarch with kirsch and add to the cheese mixture.
- Continue to stir until the cheese is fully melted and smooth.
- Season with black pepper.
- Serve with bread cubes for dipping.

- Keep the fondue warm while serving.
