Description
Carne asada tacos are flavorful and easy to make. They feature grilled beef, fresh toppings, and warm tortillas.
Ingredients

- 1 lb flank steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 corn tortillas
- 1 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
Instructions
- Marinate the flank steak with olive oil, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
- Remove from grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Slice the steak against the grain into small pieces.
- Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Assemble the tacos by placing steak on tortillas and topping with cilantro, onion, and tomatoes.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
- You can add avocado or salsa for extra flavor.
- Chicken or pork can be used as alternatives to beef.
- Adjust the spice level by adding jalapeños.
