- 1 cup black eyed peas
- 4 cups water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Rinse the black eyed peas under cold water.
- Add the peas, water, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and bay leaf to the instant pot.
- Seal the lid and set the pot to high pressure for 10 minutes.
- Allow the pot to naturally release pressure for 10 minutes.
- Open the lid and remove the bay leaf before serving.
Notes
- Soaking the peas is not necessary but can reduce cooking time.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
