Ingredients

- 1 can black eyed peas, drained and rinsed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Water as needed for consistency
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine black eyed peas, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Blend until smooth.
- Add water gradually to reach desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve with pita bread or vegetables.

- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
- Can be served cold or at room temperature.
- Garnish with olive oil or paprika if desired.
