- 1 cup black eyed peas, soaked and cooked
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup flour
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mash the cooked black eyed peas.
- Add onions, cilantro, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Stir in flour until combined.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
