Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup red food coloring
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Fresh strawberries for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and cocoa powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla to the butter mixture. Mix well.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
  6. Add red food coloring and mix until well combined.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased bento box.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool completely.
  10. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  11. Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the cooled cake.
  12. Decorate with fresh strawberries.

  • Store the cake in the refrigerator if not consumed immediately.
  • Use organic food coloring for a natural option.
