- 1 bag of black-eyed peas
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon cumin

Instructions
- Soak the black-eyed peas overnight.
- Drain and rinse the peas.
- In a pot, sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
- Add the black-eyed peas, vegetable broth, cumin, and paprika.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot.
