A beautiful three-tier cake perfect for Valentine’s Day celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Red food coloring
  • Fresh strawberries for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour three cake pans of different sizes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients; mix until smooth.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the cake pans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cakes cool for 10 minutes before removing them from the pans.
  9. For frosting, beat butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar and heavy cream.
  10. Add red food coloring to achieve desired color.
  11. Stack the cakes, frosting between each layer and around the outside.
  12. Decorate with fresh strawberries on top.
