A quick and delicious weeknight wonton soup that warms you up.


Ingredients

  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup bok choy, chopped
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a teaspoon of the pork mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Fold the wrappers and seal them tightly.
  4. In a pot, bring chicken broth to a boil.
  5. Add wontons and cook for 5-7 minutes until they float.
  6. Add bok choy and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground pork with chicken or shrimp.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or mushrooms.
  • This soup can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
