A delicious vanilla bean cake topped with creamy strawberry cream cheese frosting.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup strawberry puree
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
- Add the eggs one at a time and mix well.
- Stir in the vanilla bean paste.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the strawberry puree and powdered sugar, mixing until combined.
- Once the cakes are cool, spread the frosting between the layers and on the top and sides of the cake.
