- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add flour and whisk to create a roux.
- Slowly pour in milk, whisking constantly until thickened.
- Add cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. Stir until melted.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni.
- Transfer to a baking dish.
- Mix breadcrumbs with olive oil and paprika, then sprinkle on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- You can add cooked bacon or vegetables for extra flavor.
- For a spicy kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days.
