- 1 whole turkey, 12 pounds
- 2 cups cranberry sauce
- 1 cup wild rice
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1 cup Brussels sprouts, halved
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by seasoning it with salt and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with wild rice, chopped pecans, and diced apples.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover it with aluminum foil.
- Roast the turkey for 3 hours, basting occasionally.
- In a separate pan, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Add the Brussels sprouts to the oven during the last 30 minutes of roasting.
- Once the turkey is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- Drizzle maple syrup over the Brussels sprouts before serving.
- Carve the turkey and serve with cranberry sauce.
