Ingredients

- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 1 can (15 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Cook until softened.
- Add ground turkey. Cook until browned.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
- Drain spaghetti and combine with the sauce.
- Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
- This sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
- Use whole wheat spaghetti for a healthier option.
