Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 4 cups stuffing mix
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon sage
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the stuffing by mixing stuffing mix with broth, onion, celery, carrots, and seasonings.
  3. Loosely fill the turkey cavity with stuffing.
  4. Rub the turkey with softened butter, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place the turkey in a roasting pan.
  6. Cover the turkey with aluminum foil.
  7. Roast for 2.5 to 3 hours, removing the foil in the last hour.
  8. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
  9. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
