Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons pepper
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • Wood pellets (apple or hickory)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your Traeger grill to 225°F.
  2. Pat the turkey dry and rub olive oil all over.
  3. Season turkey with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, and rosemary.
  4. Place turkey on the grill grate and add wood pellets to the smoker box.
  5. Smoke turkey for about 4-6 hours or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. In the last hour, baste turkey with chicken broth every 20 minutes.
  7. Remove turkey from grill and let it rest for 30 minutes before carving.
