Ingredients
- Ground beef: 500 grams (1 pound)
- Breadcrumbs: 100 grams (1 cup)
- Egg: 1 large
- Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
- Onion: 1 medium, finely chopped
- Crushed tomatoes: 800 grams (28 oz can)
- Vegetable broth: 1 liter (4 cups)
- Italian seasoning: 1 tablespoon
- Salt and pepper: to taste
- Fresh basil: A handful for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and form into small meatballs.
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides for about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
