Ingredients

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup fruit jam (your choice)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar in a bowl.
  3. Add egg yolk and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until combined.
  5. Roll dough into balls and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Make an indentation in each ball with your thumb.
  7. Fill each indentation with fruit jam.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Let cookies cool completely.
  10. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract for icing.
  11. Drizzle icing over cooled cookies.
