This is a hearty and flavorful chili recipe inspired by The Pioneer Woman.
Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 cans (15 ounces each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until softened.
- Add ground beef and pork. Cook until browned.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Add beef broth and bell peppers. Mix well.
- Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and cook for 30 minutes.
- Serve hot with your choice of toppings.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by adding more chili powder.
- Can be made ahead and reheated.
- Top with cheese, sour cream, or green onions.
