This is a classic cheesecake recipe inspired by the famous Woolworth’s ice box cheesecake.

- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mix well.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- Pour the filling over the crust in the springform pan.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
- Remove from the pan and serve chilled.
Notes
- You can top with fruit or chocolate sauce if desired.
- This cheesecake can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- For a firmer texture, increase the chilling time.
