- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sugar.
- Roll dough into balls, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place balls on a baking sheet, spaced apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
