- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups filling (meat or vegetables)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and divide it into equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a circle and place filling in the center.
- Fold and seal the edges tightly.
- Place piroshki on a baking sheet and brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
