Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups yams, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil yams in water until tender, about 15 minutes.
  3. Drain yams and place in a baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
  5. Pour the mixture over the yams and mix well.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven, sprinkle marshmallows on top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes until marshmallows are golden.
