Instructions

  1. Thaw the turkey in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
  2. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  3. Remove the giblets and neck from the turkey cavity.
  4. Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
  5. Rub the butter all over the turkey and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Stuff the turkey with the mixture of onion, celery, carrots, and stuffing mix.
  7. Place the turkey in a roasting pan.
  8. Pour turkey broth into the pan.
  9. Cover with foil and roast for 3-4 hours.
  10. Remove foil during the last hour to brown the skin.
