Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, spices, and salt.
  4. Add eggs and mix well.
  5. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.
  6. Pour filling into the pie crust.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 40-50 minutes.
  8. Check for doneness by inserting a knife; it should come out clean.
  9. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
