Ingredients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Butter – 1 cup
- Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- Thyme – 2 tsp, dried
- Rosemary – 2 tsp, dried
- Salt – 2 tbsp
- Pepper – 1 tbsp
- Stuffing – 1 box (14 oz)
- Cranberry sauce – 1 can (14 oz)
- Mashed potatoes – 5 lbs potatoes
- Green beans – 2 lbs
- Pumpkin pie – 1 (9-inch)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the turkey by rubbing it with butter, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover it with foil.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes.
- While the turkey roasts, prepare mashed potatoes and green beans.
- Make the cranberry sauce according to the can’s instructions.
- Serve the turkey with sides and finish with pumpkin pie.
Notes
- Rest the turkey for 20 minutes before carving.
- Use the turkey drippings for gravy.
- Adjust cooking times based on the turkey’s size.
