Delicious macarons perfect for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients
- Almond flour – 1 cup
- Powdered sugar – 1 cup
- Egg whites – 3 large
- Granulated sugar – 1/4 cup
- Butter – 1/2 cup
- Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
- Food coloring – orange and brown
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, mix almond flour and powdered sugar.
- Whip egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar.
- Continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in the dry ingredients carefully.
- Add food coloring to the mixture.
- Pipe the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let them sit for 30 minutes to form a skin.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Let cool before filling with buttercream.
