Ingredients

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar until dissolved.
- Add vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin puree. Mix well.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- During the last few minutes of churning, add the chopped pecans.
- Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh pumpkin puree for better flavor.
- For a smoother texture, strain the mixture before churning.
- Serve with whipped cream for an extra treat.
