Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Trim the ends of the green beans.
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil.
  3. Add green beans and cook for 3-5 minutes until bright green.
  4. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  5. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  6. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  7. Add green beans, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  8. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. Add sliced almonds and lemon juice. Toss to mix.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute almonds with walnuts.
  • Add parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
