Ingredients

- 12 lbs turkey
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 3 cups bread crumbs
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 tablespoon dried sage
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 cups gravy
- 2 cups cranberry sauce
- 3 dozen dinner rolls
- 2 pumpkin pies
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by rubbing it with butter, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with the bread crumb mixture made from onions, celery, sage, and thyme.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour vegetable broth over it.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Prepare mashed potatoes and gravy while the turkey cooks.
- Serve cranberry sauce and dinner rolls with the meal.
- Slice the turkey and arrange it on a platter.
- Serve pumpkin pie for dessert.
