A savory Thanksgiving dressing made with bread, herbs, and vegetables.
Ingredients

- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 cup of celery, chopped
- 1 cup of onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of sage
- 1 tablespoon of thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chopped celery and onion, cooking until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, cooked vegetables, herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the chicken broth over the mixture, stirring until evenly moistened.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- You can use stale bread for better texture.
- Add cooked sausage for extra flavor if desired.
- This dressing can be made a day ahead and reheated.
