Description
This is a traditional Thai coconut soup known as Tom Kha. It features a blend of coconut milk, herbs, and spices.

- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 200g chicken breast, sliced
- 1 stalk lemongrass, chopped
- 3–4 kaffir lime leaves
- 1–2 Thai chilies, sliced
- 200g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a pot, combine coconut milk and broth.
- Add lemongrass, lime leaves, and chilies. Bring to a simmer.
- Add chicken and cook until done.
- Add mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Stir in fish sauce and lime juice.
- Serve hot, garnished with cilantro.
Notes
- Adjust spiciness by adding or reducing chilies.
- Use tofu instead of chicken for a vegetarian option.
