Description

Crispy and flavorful vegan chickpea nuggets that are easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork until mostly smooth.
  3. Add breadcrumbs, nutritional yeast, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Form the mixture into nugget shapes.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the nuggets until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
