Delicious swirled caramel apple fudge that combines sweet and tart flavors.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened apple juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×9 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, apple juice, cream, and butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir until sugar dissolves, then bring to a boil for about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt.
  5. Fold in chopped apples and nuts.
  6. Pour half of the mixture into the prepared dish.
  7. Swirl in caramel sauce.
  8. Top with the remaining fudge mixture.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
  10. Cut into squares and serve.
