A classic stuffed turkey recipe perfect for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a large bowl, mix bread crumbs, onion, celery, butter, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Gradually add chicken broth until the mixture is moist but not soggy.
- Stuff the turkey cavity with the bread mixture.
- Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
- Roast for 3 to 3.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Check the turkey temperature in the thickest part of the thigh.
- Use leftover stuffing to bake in a separate dish.
- Cover the turkey with foil if it browns too quickly.
