Description
A unique twist on classic strawberry shortcake presented as sushi.
Ingredients

- 1 cup sushi rice
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup whipped cream
- 4 sheets of nori
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Rinse sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear.
- Combine rice and water in a pot and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Mix sugar and rice vinegar, then add to rice.
- Spread rice on nori sheets evenly.
- Add sliced strawberries and a layer of whipped cream.
- Roll the nori tightly and slice into pieces.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
- Chill the sushi in the fridge for a refreshing treat.
- Experiment with other fruits if desired.
