- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Mix strawberries, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.
- Place the strawberry mixture on half of the heart shapes.
- Cover with remaining heart shapes and seal the edges.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
