A delicious strawberry pop tart pie that combines the flavors of fresh strawberries and buttery crust.

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for glaze)
- Milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla.
- Roll out one pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into the crust.
- Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling.
- Seal the edges and cut slits in the top crust.
- Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool, then mix powdered sugar and milk for glaze and drizzle over the pie.
Notes
- Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
- Adjust sugar based on sweetness of strawberries.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
