Description
A light and airy strawberry mousse dessert.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons gelatin
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Puree the strawberries in a blender until smooth.
- In a saucepan, heat the sugar and strawberry puree over medium heat.
- Dissolve the gelatin in water and add to the mixture.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
- Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Fold the strawberry mixture into the whipped cream.
- Pour into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Notes
- Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
- Serve with extra whipped cream on top.
- Can be made a day in advance.
