Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Green food coloring
  • Coarse sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  5. Divide dough into small pieces and shape into pretzels.
  6. Boil water with baking soda. Dip pretzels for 30 seconds.
  7. Place pretzels on a baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg and add food coloring.
  8. Sprinkle with coarse salt.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool before serving.
