Description

A delicious spicy tuna sushi bowl topped with crispy rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 lb sushi-grade tuna, diced
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Soy sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear.
  2. Combine rice and water in a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let rice sit covered for 10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix diced tuna, mayonnaise, sriracha, and sesame oil.
  5. In a pan, heat oil and add panko breadcrumbs. Cook until golden brown.
  6. Once rice is cool, form into small patties and fry until crispy.
  7. Assemble the bowl with rice patties, spicy tuna, avocado, cucumber, and green onions.
  8. Serve with soy sauce.

Notes

  • Adjust spiciness by adding more or less sriracha.
  • Use fresh sushi-grade tuna for best results.
  • Can substitute avocado with other toppings like radish or seaweed.
