Ingredients

- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 jalapeno, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 4 whole wheat burger buns
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup salsa
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground turkey with olive oil, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, jalapeno, and cilantro.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, until cooked through.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1 minute.
- Assemble burgers with avocado slices and salsa.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by adding more or less jalapeno.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
- Can be cooked on a stovetop if a grill is not available.
