Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 jalapeno, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup salsa

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground turkey with olive oil, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, jalapeno, and cilantro.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, until cooked through.
  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1 minute.
  6. Assemble burgers with avocado slices and salsa.
  7. Serve immediately.
