Description
A delicious spiced pear and cranberry galette featuring a flaky crust and a sweet-tart filling.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4–6 tablespoons ice water
- 3 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in ice water until the dough forms a ball.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix pears, cranberries, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a circle.
- Place the fruit mixture in the center of the dough.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the filling.
- Brush the dough with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream.
- Can substitute apples for pears.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
