  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 lemon, juiced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Remove the turkey giblets and pat the turkey dry.
  3. Place the turkey breast-side down on a cutting board.
  4. Using kitchen shears, cut along both sides of the backbone and remove it.
  5. Flip the turkey over and press down on the breast to flatten it.
  6. Rub the turkey with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and lemon juice.
  7. Place the turkey on a baking sheet and roast for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  8. Check the internal temperature, it should reach 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
