Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup hot water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar and hot water.
- Pour the brown sugar mixture over the batter in the baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is firm.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
- Adjust baking time based on your oven.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
