Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and vanilla extract.
- Add milk and melted butter to the mixture and stir until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and hot water.
- Pour the brown sugar mixture over the batter in the baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is set.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream for added flavor.
- You can add nuts for extra texture.
